Slotting 9k struts with koni inserts for camber adjust Posted by DickT [Email] (#1628) [Profile/Gallery] (more from DickT) on Wed, 17 Aug 2005 16:59:26 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Just got koni inserts for the struts on my 88T and have been reading (that's probably the wrong word because there is no text) the installlation pictogram. The cutting and drilling to get the insert into the old strut is straightforward, but the very last picture seems to indicate that you should not reinstall the strut assembly without slotting the mounting holes that connect to the hub. The diagram shows the lower holes slotted vertically and the uppers slotted horizontally. Seems to me for camber you could just slot the upper holes on an arc from the lowers. I could do it any way, or take a chance on it being ok as is, but would be grateful for advice from those who've dealt with this.
