Good morning. I've been running into a little bit of trouble lately with the '87 900T. Recently we did a little bit of APC tweaking to the P & F pots on my father's '91 900T. My saab is set at the same settings - around 12.7k ohms and 210 ohms or so. The improvement on his saab coupled with setting the base boost was immense.

The base boost has already been set on my 900T. We replaced the stock BPV about three years back but it seemed to always make the "hooting" noise. As of this morning, it continued its police siren like noises up into the revs - even at around 3500. Boost never pulls into the red and many times it will only pull halfway through the yellow.

We pulled vacuum on the valve this morning with the good old Mighty Vac and it held 25 PSI.

Is there any possible way the BPV is still failing? I can't figure for the life of me why it is so incredibly noisy (usually a sign of failure from what I understand) yet still holds vacuum when the line is pulled. What else could be contributing to the mediocre boosting?
