Why'd they name it "Viggen"?

I was wondering why Saab chose to name the souped-up performance model of the 9-3 "Viggen". I know that Saab used to be owned by the aircraft company of the same name, but now that GM owns it I guess they're still trying to keep that mystique alive. I'm just wondering why they chose "Viggen" rather than "Gripen" or even "Draken". As far as Saab's fighter aircraft go, the oldest design is the Draken, followed by Viggen, with Gripen being the newest. You think they would have named the car the "Gripen" (which means "Griffin" in Swedish, just like the creature depicted on Saab's logo). Unless that is they may have an even newer model in the works which will be called the "Gripen". Does that make my '85 900 Turbo a "Draken"???
