The engine of the Sonett I bought was not the original one and I think the gearbox isn't original either. From what I have seen in gear-ratio tables is that the gears of Sonett boxes are a bit longer. In fourth it should do about 30-and-a-bit kilometres per 1000 revs. The 96 boxes do 29-and-a-bit kilometers per 1000 revs. When I am doing 120 km/h the revcounter points over 4000 revs, about 4200. This is the same as in my 96. So your topspeed is a bit downed and you have to shift sooner. On the other hand, accelleration should be a little faster, but I think you won't notice the difference.
