Hey Jonathan,
It's been a couple of years since I took one apart...
So you removed the retaining lock ring and can now pull out the rod that has the fitting on the end that attaches to the clutch pedal. And the piston assy won't come out.
I don't believe there is another locking ring. Can you push the piston in a ways with your little finger and feel a ridge?? I'm guessing the piston comes out to that ridge and hangs up there. Can you take the master assy and ap it sharply on a wooden work bench? Seems like I had to do that last time and it popped right out. Be careful doing that- you don't want to mar up the face of the master cylinder. Again- rap on wood not metal.
