You probably washed some solenoid grease into the large contacts in the solenoid. The grease acts as an insulator. The click is the solenoid pulling in, but with the grease/wd between the starter contacts....no start. So, pull the solenoid off the starter (easier w the starter out) take it apart, you'll need to unsolder the small wire harness terminal and unbolt the large battery terminal, and 2 screws. Should come apart then. Now wire-brush and solvent clean the big copper contacts. Put it all together and go.
