UGH! Sonett Electrical/Light system Posted by Scott Paterson [Email] (#13) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Scott Paterson) on Sun, 21 May 2000 13:41:59 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
The switches/relays that control powering my taillights (running lights and license plate lights) and instrument lighting are not triggering properly when the microswitch (along the pull rod for the headlights) is released. The headlights come on fine. The brake lights work fine. There's no power coming into the fusebox in the car, but if I switch the connector leading to the taillights and instrument cluster to the fan fuse, everything lights up fine.
What to do? It's a nest of snakes leading to and from the relays. They look old and decrepit and by simply moving them back in forth in place they click on and off like crazy (with no effect on the lighting). Has anyone replaced these old switches with something newer? Any other advice is welcomed.
Thanks,
-Scott
