Don't you mean a DGV ? I looked on a list I have with Weber replacement carbs and that doesn't mention DFEV anywhere. I'll give you the settings I have on my DGV. It feeds a 1700 CC engine with standard European compression (about 9:1). As my technical English about carbs is not quite as it should be the description may be not as specific as it could be.
In the bottom of the float chamber are two regulators that can be screwed out. For the first stage it is 135 and for the second 130. After that you get these long tubes with a lot of holes drilled in them. They stand vertical and are put in at the top of the carb: first stage 165, second 160. The regulators that are screwed in on the outside of the carb; first stage 56, second 50. Finally the venturis; both 3,5.
These are the figures I found on the parts when I took it apart, so they must be traceble. The engine runs fine on it. The response is very quick over the whole rpm range but especially over 4000 rpm it is great. In 4th gear the engine runs to the 5500 rpm without any hickup (I didn't go beyond though the pedal wasn't fully to the metal yet). The engine is standard. The airfilter is K&N and the exhaust is a 2" double pipe. The exhaust made a big difference. After installing it the engine gained 500 rpm. So without doing expensive things to the engine you can already achieve nice results with a double barrel carb.
Hope it helps.
Alex
