Ok, gotcha.
Technically, is the driving light with a yellow lense really going to work well as a fog light anyway? Usually, fog lights are lower so that the beam isn't reflected back at the driver.
I was following the wiring and do not like what I'm finding. A good six inches of the casing of the wiring behind the left switch is no longer green. It is more of a mustard color now which leads me to believe that wiring got mighty warm at some point. Still haven't had time to pull that bulb yet but it wouldn't surprise me if it's also a 100w bulb. Too much. I think I'll look for the AUX wiring connector that's supposed to be somewhere up front by the radiator and hook it up the way it was meant to be.
Since you mention it, every vehicle I can recall would turn off fog lights with high beams on. Until now. My wife's Chevy Trailblazer can have fogs on, regardless of whether highs are on or not. Same with in-laws with a GMC Envoy.
