I would get a dual pusher fan. It covers mopre rad area, and as a pusher it has huge space to hide in under the empty nose. This also allows leaving the current fan in place. Dual fan will protect against one fan dying. So will leaving the stock fan setup. Some people feel that the stock fan contributes to timing gear death. Those people place the electric fans and pull the stock fan. [My Durango setup uses the factory mechanical and electric fan setup (belt and suspenders approach)]. You can section a temp sender into the upper rad hose. Measure the radiator and go to any speed shopped to get your fan. Be specific as to whether you want a pusher or puller fan. If you revoive the stock fan, be sure to carefully measure depth before buying a fan setup.
Before working, I would suggest getting a power washer and coating the engine with simple green. Then power wash with HOT water. You will find all your leaks more easily with a clean engine and engine bay. You might also invest in a black light. Radiator fluids contain a tracer that reacts to black light and flouresces. So does A/C stuff. That is put in there to aid in finding leaks.
I bought a generic coolant overflow tank at my local Auto Zone that included the mounting kit. It cost $12. It fits on the radiator intake/pillar re-enforcing hollow bar, on the driver's side. I will zip tie it into place.
While you are there, it is a good time to assess the brake and clutch reservoir hoses for replacement. It is a good time to replace belts and hoses. It is also a good time to consider replacing steering rack rubber dust covers.
