Since Eric is probably beat from picking up his Sonett and visiting Carlisle.

It all started when Eric put the cart before the horse. If I remember right, I found a Sonett near him on some obscure for sale website. It was an older posting and the owner was quite surprised to hear from Eric. Anyway, it turned out to be a decent parts car for cheap, only trouble was that it was the "funky green" color. I think his wife used the term "ugly". In hindsight, I think this was a very smart move on Eric's part. Any other color Sonett brought home by Eric is destined to be thought of as "good looking" by his wife.

So now he has a parts car but no car. Eventually we find a listing for a very nice '71(?) model. Condition was good with low miles, he was the original owner, and once again, it was unmolested green. The price was a bit high for Eric's budget though.

At this point, we decided that between this green color and the "Sunset Yellow" of my Sonett, it would very accurately describe the color scheme of our mothers' kitchens back in the '70s.

So then I sent him a link to Fleabay, telling him this was something he absolutely had to have. It was an original Saab Sonett sales brochure with, you guessed it, a "beautiful" green Sonett on the front cover. For some strange reason, he declined to even bid on it. :-(

Eric will have to fill in any blanks as this is where my memory fails me. There may or may not have been another green Sonett somewhere in this story. Either way, Eric was worried that he'd be bringing home another green Sonett.
