Engine Number
Posted by peacheyn (more from peacheyn) on Tue, 11 Jul 2000 08:59:15
Probably a stupid question, but can anyone tell me where on the engine the engine number is stamped?
It's a 1991 9000 2.3i 16v 5-door. The location indicated in the original manual is nonsense. My local dealer showed me where they thought it should be (stamped onto a small facet of the block just behind the radiator) but once we cleaned all the oil and dirt off we found it wasn't there. Can anyone help ? I know it is a meaningful number based on fuel, cc, etc. so I even know what number it should be, I just can't find it. ________________________________________
