With regard to Nelson's problems, I can comment as follows:
For the six years and 106,000 miles I had my 1993 9000 CSE, the alarm never gave any problems at all. Of course, trouble shooting a failed component can be costly so it might be better to disable the system if you don't live in a high crime area.
The ticking in the dash can be related to the blower fan, I once got a leaf in mine that drove me crazy until it finally broke up. Other causes could be a chattering relay or blower bearing failure.
The stiff, unresponsive throttle is a sign that the car is going into 'limp home' mode. In my case, the problem was intermittent until the electronic throttle finally failed completely (ouch). Does the check engine light come on? Your repair facility should be able to obtain fault codes if they have the Saab diagnostic tool.
Hope this helps
