TCS on/off on 1993 Aero
Posted by Dave Binnie (more from Dave Binnie) on Sat, 14 Oct 2000 03:12:59
I read a saab bulletin dated 06/95, concerning adding an on/off TCS
switch to 1992-1993 model 9000 and Aero's. I explains that 92's need a
different ECU, but the 93 does not. True? I have a 93 Aero. I have
ordered the kit from SAAB, and with the instructions outlined in the
bulletin, will install it[hopefully myself] I have been told by some,
that it is only going to turn off the TCS at the wheels, and I am still
at the mercy of all the other parts that apparantly fail. Bear with me
guys, I am new to this car! I had heard the odd thing said against 1993
model year SAABs, but my car is so immaculate for it's year, and the
price was unbeatable, that I decided to go for it. I am amazed at the
wealth of knowledge available here! I did post earlier this week, and
was wondering why I received no messages on my TCS question, but I had
some trouble getting on the system. Until I looked at the archives, I
realised there were responses to my post. Thanks again!
