Help My Saab =(
Posted by robert.turlington (more from robert.turlington) on Wed, 27 Dec 2000 14:22:01
Hiyas...
I gotta 91 900 thats having some issues....
1st: There is this really annoying exhaust leak. I think it is coming from where the downpipe meets the exhaust manifold. There are no nuts on the bolts coming down from the manifold. Should there be bolts or is the downpipe threaded?
2nd: The check engine light comes on sometimes and will stay on anywhere from 30 seconds to 30 minutes. The light is solid and I can't figure out hat it means. The manual says that a solid light indicates a problem w/ the fuel injection system. I recently replaced the plug wires and distributor (plugs have yet to replaced - could this be a problem?). I run 89 octane fuel through it and have run through one tank w/ fuel injector cleaner. I have the 2.1L, 140hp normally aspirated engine.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanx :)
Bob
