FWIW:

i have a 99 with a Yakima rack and my 9K CD has a thule...the 9k is set up to accept the thule
product and mounting the animal is a cinch. on older cars (c900 and before) i would definitely
go yakima as their gutter-mount device is a breeze to mount. i also like the ergonomics of
the yakima accessories as opposed to the thule

stuff; yakima is easier to install, IMHO. both companies know what they want for their stuff
and any cost diff. is negligible. either co. has tons of stuff to carry just about anything
you can think of....my record on my 99 was 3 mountain bikes and two canoes...
