Tire size on a 89 9000T
Posted by Cort D (more from Cort D) on Wed, 9 May 2001 21:54:26
The roads where we live are getting continually worse, not helped by the fact that my wife's work is in the country.
We have bent, slightly, 2 rims.
I was contemplating on the next tire change going to a taller sidewall, stock is 205/55/15, Has anyone ever used a 215/60/15?
My math tells me that this will be about 1.1 inches total, overall, taller and about 5% more distance covered per revolution.
Has anyone ever gone to this size? I see lots of the older (89 era) with 205/60/15's but was contemplating a little more shock absorption. Any known clearance problems?
