Radiator [saabnow]

Message from DJ RawheaD Subject: Radiator ================= Hi, I'm new to the list.
I recently became a 95 SAAB 9000CS owner. This is my first SAAB as well as my first automobile ever. I'm in love with the machine.
Now, I don't know anything about SAABs and not much more about cars in general. Unfortunately, the previous owner didn't have an owner's manual, so I'm in the dark and this is going to be a VERY stupid question, I know. Anyway, here goes.
I've been noticing that the 'Check radiator' sign goes on/off when accelerating, turning a curve, etc. I figured that the coolant level must be low so I peeped inside and sure enough, the fluid was just at the MINIMUM line on the tank....at least, I think that IS the coolant tank... the tank on the left, right above the mouth for the window washing fluid tank....
The question is this: do I just pour water in there, or is there a particular kind of coolant thingy I need to get? Boy do I feel stupid....
Thanks for any help you can give me.
