Stuck starter [saabnow]

Subject: Stuck starter ================= I know we cover this periodically, but searching the archives didn't turn up the right thing. The starter (meaning where the key turns the ignition) is getting stuck more frequently. Graphite doesn't seem to help much and I seem to remember some controversy about putting WD 40 in there. Any suggestions are appreciated. It costs hundreds of dollars to get the thing replaced. Thanks lh
