Subject: Shift Knob ================= I recently found a leather shift gaiter and wood knob for my 95 NG900S convertible. Both are original Saab parts. The gaiter was no problem to install. When I removed the rubber shift knob, however, there is a white hard plastic piece that fits on top of the shifter. The rubber knob fits around this plastic piece, but the wood knob has a narrower opening and seems to be made to fit on the shifter itself. It is not obvious how the white plastic piece can be removed. Does anyone have experience with replacing the original rubber shift knob with a the Saab wooden one? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks. Steve
