Water in door of 9000CS
Posted by T (more from T) on Wed, 22 Sep 1999 23:35:39
Recently a friend who owns a 1995 9000CS reported that a large amount of
water had collected in the rear passenger door. So great was the amount
of water, that it had leaked inside the car, and could be heard sloshing
around as the door was opened and closed. Also, there was not apparent
reason for the door to fill with water. There had been heavy rain, but
the doorseals, and window seals seem to be good, and the window was shut
too. ALl the door related components are good too like the lock
mecahnsim, the window motor, and even the door fan - just to demonstrate
that door has not been physically damaged, in fact it's rarely used at all.

Before he brings it to the dealership, does anyone have any insight in to
what a likely cause of this is, or where the water is entering from?

Thanks,
Taufan
