4 more weeks to the 2nd John Moss Technical Session!
Posted by Larry West (more from Larry West) on Thu, 7 Oct 1999 19:17:49
Dear Saabers everywhere! Below is posted the original message
regarding this much-anticipated event. So far, the voting has been:

1) V-4 session -- 7 (+ 1 'maybe')
2) CIS (K-Jetronic) session -- 0
3) LH Jetronic Session -- 8

Keep the votes coming in, folks! I can't believe there are this few
people interested in a tech session with John Moss! Last year we had
over 30 people show up.

Please pre-register so we know what session you are interested in!
Also, it lets us get a handle on food requirements.

See below for the full details!

Larry West
Chairman
New Jersey Saab Owner's Club

-----

Mark your calendars for Saturday, November 6, 1999!

One year to the week after the last highly successful technical
session with John Moss, the New Jersey Saab Owner's Club is
organizing round two!

Saab's new Technical Training Center in *Connecticut* is larger and
better equipped than the old one. Two classrooms and two car bays
with lifts are available. Quite a nice facility, I'm sure all of you
will like it.

In 1998, John presented us with a Classic 900 5-speed transmission
teardown and inspection. As a new feature, the topic or topics
presented will be selected by YOU, the attendees.

The proposed topics are:

1) 2-stroke/V-4 gearbox teardown & inspection
2) Bosch CIS Fuel Injection (8 valve 1975-)
3) Bosch LH-Jetronic Fuel Injection (16v all C900, 9000 -93/pre Trionic)

The FI sessions will be troubleshooting and adjustment oriented.

How to vote:

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY - - FAILURE TO FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS MAY
LEAD TO YOUR VOTE NOT BEING COUNTED!!!

Send an e-mail to me at viggenno39sdcx6spamx782compuserve.com

Include:
Your name
number in party that will be attending
Which session (s) you are voting for, one vote per attendee

ALL votes must be in my Monday, November 1, 1999.

It is VITAL to get your vote in so that we know what to set up for,
and how many to expect. Last year, I only got 25 confirmations and
over 35 people showed up! Great turnout, but it threw all the plans
off kilter!

Driving directions will be provided via e-mail on November 2, 1999,
to registered attendees.

There may be a nominal charge to cover lunch (<$15 per). We will know
that as the date approaches.

Notes:
1) If two sessions receive equal votes, there is a possibility of
having two simultaneous sessions. This is NOT confirmed, however.
2) If the tranny session receives substantially fewer votes than the
FI sessions, John Moss has offered to present that session separately
on a different date.
3) If you have no intention of coming, PLEASE DO NOT reply or vote.
