900 T Hesitation
Posted by Robert Cole (more from Robert Cole) on Fri, 5 Nov 1999 22:45:24
My 87 900 T with 160K miles on it continues to run well, as it has for nearly ten years, and amaze us with how much fun it is to drive. I recently had the muffler and rear tail pipe replaced and oddly since then the car has a slight hesitation when you first accelerate at the low end of first gear. It's not serious and it's not a transmission issue. Just a little 'kill' as though it is not getting fuel for less than a second. Prior to the muffler repair, the car accelerated beautifully. Could it be that there is a little back pressure in exhaust system caused by a less than perfect installation? Any other ideas?
Thanks.
Robert Cole
