Strange Noises

Help!
I get a strange rumble and an accompanying vibration from the front right side of my automatic '87 900T Convertible with about 115K on it. When I am by myself, it only happens when I hit a dip in the road. When I have a passenger, it happens constantly, especially on accelleration and left turns and left curves. It disappears when I make a right turn, or am on a right curve. Not quite a grind as it is a loud rumble (as heard from inside the car) along with the vibration. Acceleration is sluggish, and I hear a loud whine, especially when I start cold, which might be an altogether other problem. I have had almost a dozen SAABs over the years, but this is my first turbo and my first convertible. My 5 speed 89 900s had better acceleration. Any hints???

I owned an 86 Saab900 4 door for six years then bought a 87 SPG! Talk about a difference in performance. As my freind said just before my first purchase' once you' ve driven a Saab nothing else compares-and you' re hooked!'
