Upgrade radio-cassette on '96 9000
Posted by JEZ.CUNNINGHAM (more from JEZ.CUNNINGHAM) on Tue, 11 Apr 2000 10:15:19
My 96 model 9000CSE (Belgian specification) has what appears to be a standard (Pioneer) radio-cassette. It seems an absolutely normal sort of model in a DIN aperture, with the two holes each end to remove it.
I plan to replace it with an off-the-shelf (Kenwood perhaps?) radio-cassette with CD changer and I just wanted to check that all the discussions about special codes to be introduced into the computer etc won't affect me. I also suppose that there is no wiring already there to control the changer, so I will just run the supplied cable under the carpets.
Can anybody confirm this?
Thanks in advance jez
