Premium gas makes a difference only if the ECU is retarding
the timing to avoid detonation (knocking) when you use gas
with a lower octane level.  The rule of thumb is to use the
lowest level octane gas that doesn't decrease the efficiency 
of your engine.  Using gas with higher octane rating than 
your engine can take advantage of is a waste of money.
