My turbo's at 239000 miles and going strong, good boost, no smoke, no noise. New one installed is about $1000. That's a factory rebuilt unit with a year guarantee and all associated parts, studs, nuts, gaskets, air filter, removing and cleaning the oil lines, and an oil and filter change with a factory filter. Allow the car warm up and cool down time and change the oil religiously with a quality filter. I highly recommend synthetic oil for turbocharged cars, it fights coking much better in the heat to which the turbo is exposed. I change my oil every 3-5000 miles with Mobil 1 10w30 and a factory filter. Ywan
