Subject: Re: 92 saab overheat fix

The 2.1L engines were wired from the factory with only one fan responding to the fan sensor. Saab issued a bulletin to fix it. No way should it cost $300. The relay sells for $$35 and the swap and rewiring takes about 5 minutes. Details are on the page http://www.townsendimports.com/cooling_system_folder/coolingsys.htm about halfway down.
