Do you want to stick with a stick shift or go to the dark side, I mean automatic. I think you can only get a stick on the Base 9-5, and you give up a lot of luxo goodies. My personal preference would be (and *will* be when I replace my '93 Saturn SL2 with another car to go alongside our '96 900 S) for a 9-3 coupe, perhaps one of the 225 HP TWR editions due out in the spring. That way you can get all the luxo goodies, keep a stick shift, and still be able to haul things. The 9-3 hard-top will also be stiffer and lighter than the convertible, contributing to better performance. The 9-5 seems like much more of a "family" car to me. If I need a larger car come replacement time, though, I wouldn't cry if I got a 9-5 sport wagon with manual tranny, maybe even with AWD (I'm an A4 Avant freak as well).
