So the rattle is not in the torque converter, its in the timing chain? I have never owned an automatic, what exactly is a torque converter? Since reading the NG, I have an idea that my car has many expensive repairs to go. Besides the rattle and whine, when my A/C runs for a while and I make a sharp turn( to the right I think) it makes a squeal but then stops when I straighten up. During the turn I hear water jostling around somewhere and a few droplets shoot out of the vents when on full blast. On really hot days, water drips on my right foot while driving. I am assuming that it is just condensate but the squal is strange. Also my SRS light stays on. I read somewhere that it is just corroded contacts and the airbag will still deploy. Again, your responses to this post as well as the previous are greatly appreciated. SCBJ North Cakalacky
