elan -- the v6 catches a lot of flak from turbo afficianados. maybe it's because the engine is opel (read: general motors) derived. from my standpoint, the criticism is not warranted. i bought a 95 v6 new in 11/94 and have been delighted with the engine. as you have discovered, there is plenty of torque at low rpm's, and second gear is a blast even though all you have is 170 bhp. plus -- with the v6 you can disable that pesky rev-robbing tcs! recalls have not been a major concern. i now have 92k miles and she runs as tight as the day she was made. my strong advice is to use slick 50 oil treatment every 50k miles. i used it on my 86 900s, and at her 120k checkup the saab certified technician said he'd never seen a cleaner, better engine at that age. when i told him i used slick 50, he said, "now i'm a believer." keep your revs up! stuart kunkler cincinnati Elanchelvan Elango wrote in message <3650B9D6.22D4ABB6nopsamracle.com>... >Hello Saab folks, > >I recently bought a "1995 Saab 900 SE V6", from a non Saab dealer.
