In your zeal to respond you got it wrong. In both my 87 900 and 87 9000 manuals the book says the engine oil and filter should be changed every 7500 miles or every 3750 miles in severe service. Well, if you have to do any type of stop and go city driving, even for short periods, or make short runs that don't allow your car to heat up completely, then it is considered severe service. That covers the majority of drivers in the US and a lot of other places. The only exception would be those that just cruise the highways. Ken Washington 87 9000S 87 900S 83 900T
