I bought a 93 9000CSE off of lease two years ago. I have put close to 6000.00
into repairs, luckly I took the extended warranty. Most of the solutions I
believe were do to poor dealer service. For example: I say to the dealer I smell
antifreeze and I have antifreeze on my driveway. Solution replace the heater
core. I return the next day with the same problem. Solution replace the
radiator. I return the next day with the same problem. Solution tighten the
hose clamp at the water pump.
The car rides and runs great its just that I am having a horrific time trying to
get service in the Princeton NJ area. Recently people have sent me some
suggestions on where to get decent service so hopefully soon I'll be a happy
camper. I have been told that the computer on this year is not as complete with
its error diagnosis as in later years so it is harder to identify problems. This
could be the excuse, however, of an incompetent dealer service department.
Good Luck and Enjoy!
Conrad
