The VW Passat V6 is too (if they had offered the GLX Synchro this : > year, I would have seriously considered it). : : Volvo's good, but S70 is getting a little long in the tooth. Under-rated : handling and performance, but ride is rough and interior really feels old. : Passat V6 not nearly worth the money. Mediocre performance, plus, here in : Europe, VW and Audi are starting to get a reputation for poor quality (despite : excellent fit and finish)(you'll see some evidence of this in C&D's latest : Passat long-term test). Everything would be fine if Chrysler would offer a 5- : speed. The Passat GLX V6 is $10k below a smaller Audi A4. How can that not be worth the money? The GLS is even lower priced. Same engine, same transmission, same platform. C/D rated the S70 above the 9-5 in a recent comparison. CR agrees that the 9-5 is better than an S70 though. Both really like the Passat.
