A new factory turbo, from Saab, is grossly overpriced at about $1200. You can buy a brand-spanking new Turbonetics T3 for about $800. Most places will rebuild yours for $400 to $600. A used turbo from a late-model, low-mileage car should not cost more than $300 - most places charge about $200. I don't have a number on hand, but I would talk to the folks at Camelback VW/Saab in Arizona - they will probably be able to get a turbo to you for a fraction of your original quote - and, they're even in your state! :) -Justin
