Hi Tommi, I have done exactly what you are asking about. AFAIK all 2.3 9000 turbos are basically the same. What accounts for the difference in performance is the ECU program and the APC solenoid valve. There are other subtle differences (Aero has a larger turbocharger), but all these cars start from the same place. In fact, one can consider the LPT a slightly detuned version of the CSE FPT. By adding an APC valve and reprogramming the ECU (I have my own source for that) I have increased HP from 170 to 250+ with corresponding increase in torque. This is only recommended for standard trans. It will work for auto, but the auto trans will not last long.
