But if you have any reason to think otherwise, I'm all ears. I don't have any sort of religious devotion to Saab. It was only recently that I even considered buying one, which I almost didn't because of Saab's reputation for high-maintenance costs. But I also heard that quality has significantly improved since GM got involved. A big car company may have less room for creativity--they may have less incentive to go for niche markets--but they do know how to reliably crank out a lot of product at good value. If Saab (or Volvo, or Jaguar) can make use of the resources made available by a big car company while simultaneously maintaining their bloodlines, then it's a good thing. (Yes, it's a big "if".) I didn't buy my Saab for the brand-name, or the stupid seat warmers, or the sunroof, or the goofy little headlight wipers. I would have preferred not to have to pay for any of that. I bought my Saab because it handles really well for a five-seater given the price. (On the other hand, the stereo is...um...weak. I'm hoping the upgrade kit takes care of that.) -thant
