I have a 1983 900T with over 150,000 miles and never had to do any repairs on the automatic transmission. I believe that the 8 quart capacity of the old Saab adds to its longevity. I don't know about the new model capacities, but an old Oldsmoble Cutlass I had held only 2 quarts and lasted only that long before rebuilds. If the new Saab only holds two quarts, or even 4, I wouldn't touch it. Better to wait until GM drops Saab or Saab drops GM.
