I've recently been looking to buy a '95 Saab 900 at a local used car dealer. I am going to have my mechanic look at it since he will deal with any major repairs. He volunteered that any repairs will be expensive, on account that there are not many third party parts makers. The body is in fair shape, the engine has 180,000 miles on it, the dealer claims it has recently had new brakes and a new muffler about 4 months ago. I took it for a test drive and it seems to run strong, I loved the ride. A friend who is a Volvo fanatic says that Saabs are as good as his Volvos, this is a big deal coming from him.
