Subject: Re: why so many dead batteries in my 900?

are you in a warm climate? i was having that problem with my 88 SPG and then i figured it out. {drum roll please} after warming up the engine, the fans come on after you shut the car down (they do on mine, i assume the same on yours...people always say "you left your car on"...duh). on a warm day, the fans might blow for quite a while, until the thermostat says the engine is at a safer temperature. drains the battery. if you make sure to let your car cool down for a little with the engine on before running to make the train, the fans will come on and draw power from the alternator, not the battery. you should let your car cool before shutting it off anyhow (for the turbo, but you knew that if you read this newsgroup!) thats my info. if you live in alaska, you can ignore this post! danny boomer9119nopsameja.com wrote: > I have just again replaced the battery in my '85 900 Turbo.
