I am the original owner of the 9k and took great care with her and she has given my family good service. The 9-5 Aero is a remarkable car. Much more refined than my 9k. Faster and the suspension is extraordinary. Soft in the straightaways and tight in the twisties. Acceleration is superb. Everything about the Aero is quality and well engineered. Personally I love the full pressure turbos that is why I own both of these vehicles. As far as the difference, it depends which 9-5 you are comparing the 2.3 4banger or the 3.0 6. Personally I would only get the 4, its a proven Saab engine and with care will give you years of service. Check the service records and make sure the car was maintained properly. Watch out for heater cores, head gaskets, DI cassettes and motor mounts. All problematic with the 9ks. Also auto trannys can be tricky. Good luck .
