Subject: Fan sensor - lowest temperature suitable?

Hi all... New thread. :) For those that were interested, our 8V SAAB had an 82degC thermostat designed for a 16V engine installed. It's being swapped with the correct model first thing next week. A lot of people are changing their fan sensors from the factory 92degC version to the 82degC version (mostly sourced from VW). I contacted my local VW dealer, and they generally only deal in 70degC and 75degC fan sensors, though they can order in higher ones. I assume that these are too low a temperature? i.e. the fans would stay on all the time? Is it worth asking them to order in something around 82degC, or just purchase the 75degC version? Many thanks, Gareth
