Subject: Re: Stereo Wiring Mayhem

Hi, I just got done swapping out the Clarion in my 85 900 turbo. It wasnt the all push button clarion model, but the one that had the round knob for volume. Here is how mine was set up: I had 2 clusters of 4 wires coming out of the clarion wiring harness (I forget the colors, but I can check). There was one cluster for the front speakers, and 1 cluster for the back. Trial and error determined right and left The clarion had a black and blue pair that were power and ground. there was a blue wire with a white stripe for the power antenna lead. this had a nice round connector on the end. there was a red wire that was connected to the battery there was a yellow/ brown wire that fed power to the equalizer. i was blessed with no alarm, so you are on your own there. I hope some of this sounds familiar! good luck. let me know if there are other ways i can confuse you ;) <saabsternopsameja.com> wrote in message news:8kan4b$b1h$1nopsam1.deja.com... > The Pioneer tape deck in my 85 900 didn't work when I bought the car > last month, so when I came across a Saab Clarion deck in a thrift store > I immediately snatched it for $10.
