I almost never get the clunk when it goes into reverse, just recently it has been difficult to get the shift lever over there, maybe a third of the time. I thought maybe the lift mechanism described in the other post is wearing out. I'll try putting it into third gear first every time and see how that works. Thanks for the replies, -jw
