Others more expert than I will be able to advise you on this. However, for what it's worth, this is not peculiar to Saabs. I had an antenna problem on an Oldsmobile a few years ago. I took it to a place that specializes in car stereos and antennas. After they fixed it, I had exactly the same thing. For the rest of the time that I owned that car I had a slight grind and clunk at the end of the up-antenna operation.
