During the 9000/Thema/Croma-project Saab was not yet part of GM, and fiat didn't have an alliance with them. Now the future platforms of Saabs, Opels, Fiats, Lancia's, Alfa's etc. are all the same, and they are mostly developed in Sweden. (In the Saab workshops, but with help from engineers of both GM and the Fiat group. If the new platform will be a euro-design, it will also be developed by the same team. Remember that Saab would not exist anymore if they would develop everything on their own! But I certainly hope that this will not affect the Saab-i-ness to much! -Geert
