Synthetic oil doesn't break down and it provides vastly superior lubrication at much higher temperatures. This is the principal advantage. I change Mobil One about every 15,000 miles - once the engine is "clean", it doesn't get dirty. At times I wait until 20,000 miles if the oil is still clean. It usually is.....:) Some people never change it but change the filter every 7500 miles and add one quart of oil. There is ample evidence that these practices are effective and safe! Dino oil is a "dino" product. It's inferior to synthetic oil in every way..... | So let me put your on the spot: Why exactly is Mobil 1 better? Read the above again.....:) PC
