I would try to do it my self, I have fixed it in my earlier 900:s (pre 1993), the thing I would look for is the connection between the mesh and the thermostat in the seat, it¥s usually the weakest spot. There are no switches to check if someone is sitting in the passenger seat, that thing was only used on the ones with automatic heating. Befor you take the seat apart, check all connectors, both under the seat and at the switches. /Mats
