I think the problem is the button. If you look underneath (where the pedals) follow the brake pedal up. You will see two switches. The VERY top one is the one you want. The botton is stuck or pushed out too far. It has an adjustable head, so you might need take pliers and push a little bit on it. You will not brake it. It works so that went you push the botton (pedal) the brake light goes on, but went you release it supposed to turn off the lights. If this does not work, it is that switch. If you are handy take it off (its a bitch) its held on by 2 clips so use a flat screwdriver. After the switch is off the car open it. It might be stuck (due to corrosion or melting of the plastics) free it. And Thats it. Hopes this works Roman
