First check the condition of the spark plugs - Change to NGK BCPR7ES-11 if necessary. If you are lucky the problem is solved, but with my experience it sounds like a DI cassette problem. I had to replace it two times in my old 9000 CDE -88 and once in my latest 9000 CSE 2.3L Turbo -96. Unfortunately it's an expensive device. There are no spark plug cables involved if you have a DI system.
